The official opening of the Zwartowo farm – located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship – marked the end of the first phase of construction of the largest photovoltaic investment in Poland and this part of Europe. The farm, located on an area of 300 hectares, will ultimately provide green energy to approximately 153,000 households.

Respect Energy is a partner of Goldbeck Solar in the construction of the largest photovoltaic farm in the CEE region.

Respect Energy focuses on investments in renewable energy sources that will ultimately guarantee our customers full security of green energy supply. We aim to create a green future for our country, so being part of the Zwartowo photovoltaic farm is an obvious extension of our business strategy. We are very pleased that such a significant project on a European scale is one of the investments within our portfolio, emphasises Sebastian Jabłoński, Chairman of the Board at Respect Energy.

As a result of the completed first phase of the investment, the photovoltaic farm was equipped with solar panels of 204 MWp. The second phase of the investment, scheduled for the beginning of next year, will increase the total capacity to 290 MWp.

As Sebastian Jabłoński points out, the construction of the farm is part of the need to take decisive steps to build a zero-emission economy and energy independence for the Old Continent.

The events of recent months have shown that easing the energy crisis is only possible if we move away from fossil fuel imports and intensify investments in renewable energy sources. The Zwartowo farm is an example of concrete steps in this direction. Respect Energy is already working on further RES projects in our country – emphasises Sebastian Jabłoński.

The Zwartowo photovoltaic farm project is financed by a consortium of three banks: Bank Pekao SA, PKO BP and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
