Around 1,800 participants attended the fifteenth edition of the Food Market&Retail Forum in Warsaw, whose theme this year focused on the activities of the food and trade industries in the face of the economic crisis and the uncertainty caused by the geopolitical situation.

Respect Energy was among the partners of this year’s event.

Taking part in the panel ‘ESG in the food and retail industry’, Vice President Dariusz Bliźniak emphasised that an important element of the industry’s actions in the face of progressive change is ensuring energy stability.


For the smooth functioning of industry – including the food industry – access to green and low-carbon energy is needed. Today’s fast-moving volatility, forces companies to be flexible, also in terms of their electricity supply. Renewable energy is a three-pronged approach that is crucial in times of crisis: low carbon, energy security and cost reduction.

The Food Market&Retail Forum was held on 7-8 November 2022 in Warsaw. During the event, prizes were also awarded in two industry competitions: The Good Product 2022 Certificate and the Food&Retail Awards.
