Respect Energy Holding has announced a plan to invest in the world’s largest offshore wind farm off the coast of Australia.
In an interview with the Polish Press Agency, Chairman of the Board Sebastian Jabłoński also mentioned the company’s other plans in the context of entering the Australian market. “As a company operating in most European markets, we have decided to take a further step towards strengthening our global operations. Bearing in mind a number of constraints, such as network limitations in Poland and Europe, as well as regulations in the energy markets in Europe, we took a decision to expand our portfolio with investments in the Australian market. The most important of these is the development of the largest offshore wind farm project” emphasised Sebastian Jabłoński, Chairman of the Board of Respect Energy Holding. We will soon announce full information on this large-scale investment project with a capacity of approximately 6 GW” he added.
The investment in the development of the largest offshore wind farm in the world will not be the only one planned by Respect Energy Holding in the new market. “Ultimately, we want to develop a full commercial activity in Australia based not only on investments in generating capacity, but also on renewable energy trading and energy sales” highlights Sebastian Jabłoński.
“Offshore projects as well as those based on hybrid solutions – i.e. combining generation sources with energy storage – represent the future of renewable energy. I am convinced that the success of Respect Energy Holding’s large-scale investments on the Australian continent will also allow us to support Polish stakeholders in their search for solutions and will enable us to establish cooperation with offshore leaders on the local market” adds Chairman Sebastian Jabłoński.
